STREES TEST

The cooler Taurus 240 has been tested against one of the most difficult processing units to cool down: Intel i9 9900K overclocked at 4.9 Ghz.

The data show how the Taurus 240 is able to maintain the CPU temperature at 71 °C when the absorbed package power is 170 W.

ASSEMBLY

STEP 1 – THERMAL PASTE

– Clean the CPU.
– Place the thermal paste on the CPU.
– Note: the selection and the placement of the thermal paste on the CPU has a significant impact on the overall thermal performance, regardless of the heat sink.
– Connect the fan connector(s) to the pin(s) on the motherboard.

STEP 2 – CONDENSER

Place the condenser underneath the case grid and fix it with four screws (M3x8).

STEP 3 – EVAPORATOR

Insert the screws M3x30 through the holes of the evaporator and motherboard, and fix them with the nuts. Be sure to tighten them equally.

STEP 4 – ENJOY

– Once the evaporator is fixed to the CPU and motherboard, you are ready to go.
– During the entire procedure, be sure that none of the flexible tubes are too bent or chocked, that may be detrimental for the performance.
– Overclocking the CPU is definitely encouraged with Taurus240, but be careful in doing it with Taurus120, which is designed for less stressful conditions.
